The **Applications Security (AppSec)** group maintains security rights to [applications](http://hwpi.harvard.edu/fas_finance/pages/system-applications) that provide different levels of privileges to the user. The level is determined by their assigned role and as indicated by the employee’s supervisor. AppSec also maintains the Chart of Accounts, including set up of all new chart values except restricted and sponsored funds.
